Circus Fun

The circus really wasn't that much fun. The worst part: it cost $28.00! There were no exciting animals, no comfortable seating, and no roasted peanuts! The acrobat was fairly good but she was barely dressed! At least the
cotton candy was good!

Mallory had a pretty good time but started getting tired toward the end. Like me, she was more concerned with the food-- even though she had a kids meal on the way! We left a few minutes early.

Favorite Accessory # 1

Okay, I know this is lame but I really miss some of Mallory's old clothes. For example, I LOVED this jacket. Mom bought it for her and she wore it during her second set of winter months. As you can see, it was leopard print and was super cute. I believe I passed this cute jacket on to a very good friend.

In this picture, Mallory is sliding down a slide that mom had originally bought for Kirsten. Since Kirsten grew really big and fast we got it at a good time for Mallory. In fact, we still have it--in 2 pieces by Daniel's burn barrel!
Tomorrow night I think we will be going to the circus. Will post pics probably late so don't give up on me!

The Hamilton House

Not much to report this weekend. On Friday, as previously mentioned, we went to Pizza Hut (Mallory's choice) and to the football game.

Saturday morning was the usual. Mallory awoke before me and was literally jumping up and down and yelling that she was "starving" and NEEDING to go to Jerry J's.

Later that afternoon, Uncle GG came over. He and Daniel watched football and I went to the gym. I had a hard workout that included running and swimming. Mallory stayed and played with the men. When I got home, I took a nap and had a brainstorm about Christmas. What do you think about a Disney vacation instead of a bunch of gifts??? We could leave on 12/23 and come home on 12/27.

Today I slept late. Mallory went to church, we went to lunch with Daniel's family, and came home. I prepared a chicken stew for tomorrow and have already packed Mallory's book bag and my gym bag. Ugh--the weekend flies by.

Bought a pumpkin fairy costume for Mal. Found it on e-bay. Grand total price: $15.00.

Mallory is selling cookie dough. It is $14 a tub and please contact via phone, e-mail, or a comment on this blog regarding how many tubs you want (mom, Lealane, Krystial, Kristy, etc..)

Friday Night Football

Last weekend Daniel and Mallory had company at the ball game. Russell and the girls met them nearby and together they watched the game.

Daniel left with one little girl and returned with 3=)

Tonight Mallory and Daniel dressed in their Gator gear and went to the ball game again. Guess who went with them this time!!!!!

ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Tooth Gone

I'm worried about how she's going to eat! She kinda looks like an old lady who isn't wearing dentures!

The Gang

Over the weekend, we had visitors. These visitors like to swim so they dressed in their bathing suits and swam until they were told to get out!

Grandma Fun

This picture was actually taken on 9/12. I think it accurately describes the fun that is had with
Grandma! Notice that Grandma is alone!

Daniel's Class Reunion

Last night we attended Daniel's 15 year class reunion. I know, I can't believe Daniel is that old! He is definitely lucky to have married me, a much younger girl.

Although it was scheduled the same time that Georgia was playing, I think Daniel had a good time. He was able to monitor it while we were there.

Kristy helped with my make up and mom kept Mallory.

The weather has started to cool a little and I am looking forward to fall. All of our September birthdays have passed and we are now looking forward to Halloween. Mallory has already said that she wants to be a pumpkin. Any help locating a comfortable pumpkin fairy costume will be appreciated!

BTW, I used Mallory's birthday money to buy her a new DVD player to go with her new television. A big thanks to Papa Don, Grandma, and Natalee and Trent.

Happy Birthday Little Danny

Today we celebrated Little Danny's
birthday. His party was held at
Blackshear City Park. As you can see, all of his favorite cousins attended!

Presents for a Princess

As with any birthday party, the birthday girl got a lot of presents. Top gifts included the lime green nail polish (thanks Lealane), a cell phone (yep, you read right), a monogrammed suit case, a new television, a MP3 player, a new DS game, and Memory.

Mallory got a lot of gifts. She is really lucky to have so many caring people in her life. I can't wait until she realizes this.

Daniel and I bought her the suit case, television, and cell phone. The suit case I got on clearance and the cell phone I bought so she would leave mine alone.

The television is serving its purpose. Mallory now wants to sleep in her bed--in the beginning. She also got a couple of movies so she has been picking one every night. However, she is still waking in the middle of the night and still crawls into our bed.

Since today is her actual birthday, Mallory picked out dinner. Per her request, I cooked sausage patties, cheese grits, and eggs.

We had birthday cupcakes for dessert. She also chose chocolate cupcakes and vanilla ice cream to take to school.

Yum, Hot Pizza

Together, as a party crew, we consumed
5 large pizzas. They were really good and I wished I would have ordered at least one more. In fact, I wished I had a piece right now..........

While we were eating, our nephew, Blake, played his guitar for us. He also played happy birthday while we sang.

Pool Party Fun

Mallory and her cousins got into the pool a few minutes before five. We had a lot of kids in the pool, the most action it has gotten at our house.

Olivia is in the second picture. She is in the yellow bathing suit, getting into the water. She is the daughter of Lealane, author of the Sanders Family blog (see link on the right).

Natalee is in the third picture. She is the daughter of Becky Griffin, a good friend of mine. Becky is the author of "My Life", again see the link on the right to read her blog.

I am not sure how many kids went swimming but I think their were more than what these pictures are showing. At the time, the pool seemed full of bobbing little heads.

Birthday Party Part 1: Posing with the cake

I know, I must be the meanest and cruelest mother on the planet! I made Mallory dress in her birthday outfit and hair bow before changing into her swimsuit. She had a good attitude while dressing and posed for a lot of pictures. She was smiling for me, mama, Steve, and Paula. Between the 4 of us, these were the best.

Since Mallory takes gymnastics, I asked that she have gymnasts on her cake. The cake was 2 tiers and was really pretty.

I'll show more pictures each day but I want to tell you that Mallory's birthday party was a lot of fun. All of our favorite people came and I think everyone enjoyed it (or at least I hope so).

Part 1: Posing with the cake
Part 2: Pool party fun
Part 3: Pizza time
Part 4: Presents
Part 5: Blowing out the candles

Singing Happy Birthday

Here is a short clip of us singing to Mallory at her birthday party. More pictures to come so stay tuned!

Hamilton News

1) While cleaning my closet, Mallory found her birthday stash. She told Daniel he couldn't look over there!

2) Mallory's birthday outfit arrived today. The pants are too big and I feel like Mallory is too young to say "I told you so." (remember, I wanted the green dress)

3) Daniel let Mallory cook the instant rice for dinner. She forgot to put water in it and the microwave and kitchen quickly filled with smoke. Thank God I was still at work!

4) Mallory is getting better at sounding out words. At least she always correctly sounds out the first letter. That's a start, right?

5) Started cleaning for Mallory's party.

6) My sister has an herniated disc and will be going to see a neurologist on 9/23.

7) Will be in Atlanta on 9/20-9/22 for work training. Apparently, with this program, I have to have special training to be an evaluator/case manager.

8) Ordered some new shoes from naturalizer.com. I am REALLY excited about them and I am positive they will make me look skinny in my tight jeans.

9) Daniel and I will be attending his 15 year class reunion on 9/19.

10) I have played, "who is coming to my birthday party" a hundred billion times. Mallory is really excited about it.

11) I LOVE the fact that some people think my mom will be swimming with the kids, per THEIR request. NOT EVEN!

Swimming With the Raulersons

On Saturday, Kirsten and Cadee came over. Eventually everyone went swimming. While swimming, the girls asked if their Grandma would be swimming with them next week.

Won't believe what Grandma told them!

Georgia Ready

To get into the Dawg spirit, Mallory dressed in her GA cheerleader shirt and matching hair bow. She wore this outfit to Jerry J's, Wal-Mart, and to the car wash. She was super cute!

At Wal-Mart, Mallory selected her party supplies. She chose hot pink square plates, neon yellow napkins, and Hannah Montana cups.

The Dawgs lost but team spirit and morale is still high in the Hamilton house.

Projects: DONE

Completed 3 projects today.

1) cut Mallory's finger nails and toe nails.

2) downloaded, uploaded, and BOUGHT 100 most recent pictures.

3) bought 600 page album and placed about 400 old pictures in it and inserted the new pictures.

Not sure if pictures are worth filling albums anymore. Seems a lot easier to view them on the computer. Also, with my crappy camera, they look better on the computer.

Kindergarten is Tough

Mallory is still adjusting to kindergarten--this is me being positive. She likes going better and is showing some improvement but her teacher seems to be full of complaints. Last week every student was placed in a reading group according to their level. Mallory was automatically placed in the lowest level due to her IEP and her speech and OT services. OF COURSE, I immediately reminded her teacher that Mallory knows all of her letters, their sounds, and can phonetically spell. She has been placed in the middle group. Jeez, they don't even give some kids a chance. This move was important because in the lowest group, they are still working on August concepts. However, the kids in this group will go through the same rigorous testing as kids in the other groups and will be graded/judged the same way.

Today Mallory's teacher wrote on a worksheet, that Mal must have refused to complete, "cannot follow directions." OF COURSE I have already written my own note asking the teacher to remain positive regarding Mallory's academic ability and I reminded her of the progress that has already been made.

Right now we are working on recognizing the cube and sphere within the environment, patterns, and reading two worded sentences with a picture. I think this is going to be a long year.

I'm also going to contact our pediatrician regarding specialized testing to check for learning disabilities. Mallory still has a lot of trouble with her writing, cutting, etc. The OT and myself think she has a visual perception problem.

Tomorrow I start my job duty training, which means no more orientation!

Gymnastics Superstar

Last week Mallory's gymnastics teacher told me that she has improved a lot since she started. She said she is nearly able to do a cart wheel by herself and likes to do her forward and backward rolls.

Another parent told me tonight that Mallory has already memorized the dance routine. It seems that Mallory moves ahead of everyone else!

My second day on the job is still orientation stuff. I'm learning all about cultural diversity, HIPPA, policies, blah, blah, blah, blah. Tomorrow is computer training. Maybe I will learn how to navigate the Internet!

Today a big box arrived. It was not in a shipping box but in the product box. Mallory now knows what she is getting for her birthday!
