Mallory was given a choice: the zoo or the GA Aquarium. We looked at each website so she could make an informed decision.
The third day was spent at the Zoo Atlanta. We saw many different animals but our favorites were the African ones. We looked at them twice!
Mallory also visited the petting zoo. I was a little surprised that she actually petted animals.
Of course, the zoo offered other entertainment. We spent time on the playground, a train, and the carousel.
This was our last day. Daniel and I were truly tired when we got home. The ride home was long but we had a great time. Mallory really enjoyed this trip.

Spring Vacation: Day 2
Can you guess where we went?
We had a great time. We walked around the park, rode the train, played in a huge playhouse, ate junk food , rode the sky lift, had a boat tour, and watched the laser show.
Don't let the second picture fool you. Daniel and Mallory did NOT actually climb the mountain.
The third picture was taken on the "duck ride." This was Mallory's favorite part. We rode in a hummer-like vehicle that actually went into the lake. We boated around the lake for about ten minutes. Oh yeah, everyone got "quakers." Watch the video and check out the link to get the full impact of this ride.
http://www.stonemountainpark.com/attractions-shows/attraction-detail.aspx?AttractionID=88The fourth picture is of me and Mal awaiting the laser show. The laser show was awesome. It was like watching a cartoon on the mountain. It highlighted GA's attractions, celebrities, and colleges.
I would also like to mention that Mallory found a quacker on the way home.

Spring Vacation: Day 1
For Mallory's spring break, we traveled north. We visited Atlanta for a few days. The first evening, we attended a Braves game.
This was Mallory's first game. She was in awe at the size of the stadium. The Braves played the Cubs and lost=(
Daniel bought the tickets from a scalper. We purposely bought nose bleed seats. It worked out well because Mallory had plenty of room to roam.
Everyone had a great time. I think Mallory enjoyed being able to associate the live game with the games on television.
I am so glad that Daniel is an avid weather channel watcher. Because of him, we were properly dressed. It was cold!

Egg Hunting
We had our usual Sunday lunch with Daniel's family. Afterward me, Paula (Daniel's mother), and Shelley (sister-in-law) hid nearly 90 eggs. Blake and Harlie didn't do much egg hunting so it was up to Mallory. She had eggs falling out of her basket. I invited the Raulersons but they had their own fun planned. Russell took them to Hilton Head. Maybe next year. Mallory will need the help, she also had too many adults telling her where to look.
Coming up: spring vacay pictures!

Easter Morning
Here is a picture of Mallory's Easter basket. I didn't get a photo of her discovering it because I was still in bed=)
Typically we take a hundred pictures of Mal, especially when she is dressed up. Well, guess what! We only took one on Easter morning. And of course it wasn't a very good one--her eyes were closed and it was zoomed out.
Oh well, you get the drift.

Easter Prepping
We dyed eggs but that seemed to easy so we added washable paint. It kept Mallory busy for an extra 5 minutes.
Notice the finished product. Our eggs had eyes, mouths, and hair! They looked pretty cool.
The last picture is of the cake we made for Easter lunch. I made an authentic (my own recipe--not boxed) chocolate cake with home made whipped frosting. It was really good. Mallory was in charge of the decorations. Before I could even blink, she had the entire bottle of sprinkles on it!

More School Fun
Here are a few more pictures of Mallory and her friends. These photos were taken on their field trip.
I really like the picture of Daniel and Mal. It was taken right after Daniel helped her unhook a fish. Yep, she caught her first fish!

School Fun
I'm back! A big thanks to Russell. He definitely hooked us up! He managed to save our bookmarks and contacts in Outlook. I'm impressed because our computer was very sick!
Its been nearly a month! I have a lot to share so I will take it one day at a time. Mostly it is Easter stuff.
On Good Friday the entire kindergarten at Wacona Elementary went on a field trip. They visited a teacher's house, the teacher that lives behind us.
They had a great time. The kids enjoyed a hayride, Easter egg hunt, fishing, and a picnic lunch.
Mallory had a special guest. Daniel was able to spend the day with her. We have a good picture of her and Daniel as they were fishing. I'll post it soon--I can only post so many at a time.
